The Khopra Ridge Trek is an off-the-beaten-path journey through the Annapurna Conservation Area, taking you from Pokhara through the traditional Gurung and Magar villages of Ghandruk and Swanta, dense rhododendron forests, and open alpine ridgelines to the stunning Khopra Danda (3,660m) — a viewpoint offering uninterrupted panoramas of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, including Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Annapurna I (8,091m), and Machhapuchhre (6,993m), plus a side trip to the sacred, high-altitude Khayer Lake (4,500m), all with a fraction of the crowds found on routes like ABC or Poon Hill.
