Your Journey, Your Way

How Would You Like to Experience Annapurna Base Camp ?

There isn't one right way to do Annapurna Base Camp . Some trekkers prefer joining a small group on a planned departure. Others want the journey shaped around their own dates, pace or preferences. We offer both.

Join a Fixed Departure

Best suited for you if
  • You're travelling solo, as a couple, or with a small number of friends.
  • You're happy to join a small group of other trekkers.
  • One of Yeti's planned departure dates works for you.
  • You prefer the route, stays and logistics to already be thoughtfully planned.
  • You're looking for the more economical way to do it. Shared logistics generally make fixed departures more cost-efficient than a customised journey.

You join the journey. We take care of the rest.

Every departure is led by an experienced trek leader and kept to a comfortable group size — so even on a fixed date, it never feels crowded.

Overview

ABC is a journey that keeps changing as you move deeper into the Annapurna Sanctuary — from villages and forests to high alpine terrain surrounded by some of the biggest mountains in the world.

Over ten days, the landscape becomes progressively more dramatic, but the experience is not only about reaching 4,130 metres. It is the rhythm of walking through mountain settlements, staying in tea houses, sharing the trail with fellow trekkers and finally waking up inside the natural amphitheatre of the Annapurna massif.

For someone looking for a Himalayan trek that combines big mountain scenery, a strong sense of journey and the comfort of a well-established tea-house route, ABC is a very balanced experience.

TREK ESSENTIALS

Important Points

Weather:

  • Weather is very crucial on the running of this trek. Weather can cause delays on the flights on Kathmandu- Pokhara sector. Hence, we suggest keeping a day or two in Kathmandu as a buffer for your return international flight. If in extreme case, you miss your international flight from Kathmandu or internal flights, we will render all assistance, but cannot be held liable for any extra cost incurred. Please do explore the option for insurance for your international flight cancellations. In an extreme case, if you miss your international flight from Kathmandu, we will render all assistance, but cannot be held liable for any extra cost incurred. (If you have a connecting flight from Kathmandu)

Accommodation Note:

  • Owing to the limited number of tea houses in the Annapurna Base Camp region, trekkers may be accommodated on a multi-sharing basis, especially during peak trekking seasons. While we strive to ensure comfortable and suitable stays throughout the journey, room allocations are subject to availability at the respective tea houses.
  • At the Tea house, there will be common Toilets on sharing basis, blankets are provided and running water is available. – Majority of tea houses have cold showers, some provide hot water at an additional cost.
  • Some teahouses have electricity where you can charge your appliances (mobile phones and cameras) at an additional cost

Travel and Other

  • Website price is for Indian Nationals. Final price for the trek for foreign nationals will vary.
  • A NOC (No Objection Certificate) is only needed for Indian trekkers holding an official passport who are coming from a third country and plan to go to another third country after the trek. If you're traveling directly from India and returning to India, then a NOC is usually not required.
  • Please carry photo ID and 3 passport size photo for the permits.
  • Though not mandatory, travel and accident insurance is highly recommended.

Tipping

  • Please note that there is a culture of tipping the guide and porters in Nepal and they expect it after the end of the trek.

Transport/Flights

  • Since it is mountain region, we do not recommend taking the international flight from Kathmandu back to your place on the same day of long travel. There could be unforeseen delays. So better to book flights with at least one day buffer. We also recommend staying one more day in Pokhara as there are a lot of things to do. It’s a very happening place – Bungee jumping, paragliding, etc.
  • If you are planning to reach Pokhara by road, AC deluxe buses start early in the morning by 6 or 7 am and takes 7-8 hours to reach the destination. Hence plan your date of journey accordingly.
  • Please note that while we endeavour to assist all our clients in achieving their goals, there may be times your leader makes the decision to either delay or stop your ascent based on your medical conditions and AMS symptoms.
