The Vertical Itinerary
A 6–7 hour drive from Bagdogra Airport or Darjeeling to the trek starting point at Jaubari. Transport departs at 10:30 AM. The transport cost to be shared among the trekkers.The drive winds through tea gardens and into the Singalila foothills. Overnight at a teahouse in Jaubari.

Getting There
Arrival & Transfer
Fly into Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or take a train to New Jalpaiguri (NJP) station. The trek starts at Jaubari — approximately 6–7 hours by road from Bagdogra. Alternatively, base yourself in Darjeeling (26 km from Manebhanjan) before the trek.

Visa
Indian nationals require a valid government-issued photo ID. Foreign nationals require an Indian visa. Please note: foreigners may be required to camp on the Indian side of the Singalila Ridge due to permit restrictions.
Domestic Flight
Transport from Bagdogra or Darjeeling to Jaubari (Day 1) and return from Sepi to Bagdogra/Darjeeling (Day 6) is NOT included — shared vehicle costs are split among trekkers.

Loaded Hikes & Leg Strength
Introduce loaded day hikes (8–10 kg pack) on hilly or staired terrain. Add bodyweight squats, lunges, and step-ups. Two strength sessions per week targeting legs and core.
Taper & Gear Testing
Reduce intensity. Test all gear thoroughly — especially your boots. Focus on sleep, nutrition, and hydration. This is a Moderate trek suitable for beginners with decent fitness.
