The Vertical Itinerary
Drive: 8-10hrs Sari is 8-10hrs drive from Dehradun. We will arrgane transport to Sari from Dehradun. The vehicles leave at 6.00 am from Dehradun Railway Station. We will come across many confluences of rivers and spectacular landscapes all along the drive. Once we reach Sari,we will take a rest and stay overnight in guest house. Dinner will be served at night and in order to have an ample amount of rest, we will suggest you sleep early.

Getting There
Arrival & Transfer
The trek starts at Sari village, Uttarakhand. Reach Dehradun by flight (Jolly Grant Airport) or train (Haridwar or Dehradun railway station). Transport from Dehradun to Sari is included in the trek cost. Depart from Dehradun Railway Station at 6:00 AM on Day 1.

Visa
Indian nationals require a valid government-issued photo ID for forest permits. Foreign nationals require a valid Indian visa.
Domestic Flight
Transport from Dehradun to Sari (8–10 hours, Day 1) and return from Sari/Chopta to Dehradun (8–9 hours, Day 6) is included in the trek cost. Do not book same-day onward travel from Dehradun on Day 6 — allow buffer time.

Physical Preparation

This is an Easy-rated trek suitable for beginners. Begin walking or light jogging 3–4 times per week for 30–45 minutes. Stair climbing is an excellent preparation for the Chandrashilla summit day.

Day Hikes & Leg Conditioning
Introduce weekend day hikes of 3–5 hours. Add bodyweight squats and lunges twice a week to build leg endurance for the final summit push. No technical experience required.
Gear Testing & Rest
Test your boots on a short hike. Focus on sleep and hydration. Do not start new or intense exercise this close to departure.
